21 Disco Dancing

Disco Dancing

When Jenny was in high school
She didn’t like the work
She fooled around with David
But thought he was a jerk
Sometimes she slipped out early
Sometimes she was alone
But when it got to weekends
She came into her own

For she went

Disco, disco dancing
Burning up the floor
She is so enchanting
The one they all adore
She smiles at the attention
But men are not her game
To move is her intention
Dancing queen’s her name

Home is Hounslow high street
Weather’s getting hot
Johnnie’s lost his front teeth
Debbie’s in her cot
Jenny’s in the kitchen
Cleaning up the mess
All that she can think of
Is putting on that dress

And going

Disco, disco dancing
Burning up the floor
She is so enchanting
The one they all adore
She smiles the attention
But men are not her game
To move is her intention
Dancing queen’s her name

Johnnie’s in the army
Debbie acts in plays
Jenny’s left her old man
For his womanizing ways
M and S is work place
Kind of a career
But Friday night is girl’s night
Time to have a beer

Then she goes

Disco, disco dancing
Burning up the floor
She is so enchanting
The one they all adore
She smiles at the attention
But men are not her game
To move is her intention
Dancing queen’s her name

Ooooooo
Ooooooo
Ooooooo
Ahhhhhh

Disco, disco dancing
Burning up the floor
She is so enchanting
The one they all adore
She smiles at the attention
But men are not her game
To move is her intention
Dancing queen’s her name
