24 The Lodger

July 16, 2015

The Lodger

Mysterious man
From out of the fog
The man with a plan
The devil or god

Light in his eyes
A gleam or a stare
A hidden surprise
Let women beware

Yet he holds no harms
For Daisy’s desire
To die in his arms
Bewitched by his power

He is The Lodger
A stranger at home
The artful dodger
Erotic alone

He lives by night
The killer elite
Mother’s afright
The family sleep

While Daisy charms
To be slayed by desire
To die in his arms
Bewitched by his power

Strange attractor
Girardian tease
He’s the contractor
Of sexual dis-ease

Call in the law
Let’s straighten him out
A woman is gore
The devil’s about

But he holds no harms
For Daisy’s desire
To die in his arms
Bewitched by his power

He is the wrong man
Can he be saved?
Or is he the con man
Killer depraved?

The baying hoard
In paradise lost
Scapegoat the lord
To die on the cross

But he’s not crazy
At least in this plot
And he marries Daisy
In Camelot

For she has no qualms
As slayed by desire
She dies in his arms
Bewitched by his power
